Part Time or Full Time Curriculum Coordinator - salaried

The Weekday Program at First United Methodist Church Plano is interviewing for the position of Curriculum Coordinator.  This position is a salaried position working 30-40 hours a week.  It does require a commitment to open and/or close the school on occasion or as negotiated.

We are looking for a fun, inspired, experienced early childhood educator who wants to inspire other early childhood educators.  As a NAEYC accredited school, the CC will plan high-quality experiences that will benefit the whole school as well as supervising and holding teachers to a high standard.  The CC will create and implement HighScope and Conscious Discipline curriculum as well as train teachers on how to implement them.  The CC will be integral in fostering a positive, cooperative work environment by example and through hands-on mentoring.  The CC will also have administrative duties in line with running an office and supply management.  The CC must be able to open or close the office and help with staffing when needed.

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and will take initiative to get things done. We also work in an office team of 5-6, so you must be a team player and communicate effectively. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (preferably in an education field), at least 3 years of ECE teaching experience, and desire working in an actively Christian environment.  We are looking for someone who understands social media and can use it effectively, as well as basic Microsoft Office software.
